Now that 2020 is behind us, it is time for me to look forward into 2021… here is a little of what I have been up to this new year.
Book Reading
I was thrilled to do a remote reading with my granddaughter’s JK class on January 7, 2021. I could see all their faces as I read to them, and their teachers too. It was such an honor to be asked to do this. So many thanks to the teachers for arranging it and for all they do to keep all the children interested each day online.

The Lake Report
A second local paper has taken up the story of Sir Archibald. The Lake Report did a great article on Archie on January 21 – “An excessive amount of dog drool was the inspiration for a Niagara-on-the-Lake woman’s new children’s book series. Sir Archibald Droolsalot – Big Dog Blues immortalizes Kathryn Recourt’s large, loyal (and drooling) companion Archie, the part English mastiff, part St. Bernard rescue dog.”

Lincoln County Humane Society
I have partnered with the Lincoln County Humane Society (LCHS) and for every book sold through their social media I will be donating a portion of the proceeds to the LCHS. An article on CHCH on November 30, 2020 with Bob Cowan on Morning Live had Tammi Barkman of the LCHS talking about Sir Archibald Droolsalot. The books are also on site at the 124 Hotel and Spa, Queen Street, Niagara on the Lake to also help support the LCHS. It is wonderful to help support this great organization especially as Archie is also a rescue dog.

Book 2 of Sir Archibald
Book 2 of the Sir Archibald series should be ready for production in the next few months. Sir Archibald Droolsalot – Big Dog Drools asks “Can cats and Dogs be friends?” “Is it possible for them to help each other?” Perhaps you don’t have to be the same, look the same or sound the same, to be friends.
